What in the course is important to keep, and what is important to change?

Those interactive exercises are the most important things to keep in the course. Otherwise, I propose to develop a facebook fan page for those participants to exchange their ideas after the course.
It is important to keep the interaction and encouragement of participation in the exercises. More feedback on student’s performance can be given though — at present no comment is passed by the instructor. But I understand that giving comments may discourage students from freely participating in the exercises. A balance may tried to be struck in future workshops.
For one day workshop in Hong Kong, I have no comment on this. Everything is just great!
One afternoon is definitely not enough.
As mentioned, I would say the course should be divided in to a two-day workshop. totally 8 hours. and it would be best to have a causal chat with Tom in dinner. We always want to learn from the teacher in person. We will be able to understand more how the theories connects with the originator.
Keep the exercises Keep the theories and cool experiments/demonstrations ( the mirror thing) Keep all the individual exercises. I think the group activities, it is rather important for the teacher to not let students self select their own groups; the resulting groups had quite a diverse outcome, the bad groups really didn’t learn as much. Also a lot of awkwardness ensues when individual students tries to form new groups in exercise, only to be faced with awkward group culture/politics. I’d imagine that if every time students get assigned a random number and new groups for each exercise, in highly improves the group dynamics and encourage students to work with strangers.
