What is the most important things I brought with me home from this course?

I have now an act which I planned to be a comical filler in my show but now I would like to evolve it to a higlight of my show or a potencial closer. But more important than that I think now I have a tried out method, a framework on how to develop new acts for myself and others.

A little mantra that I picked up back in 2019 was “The only way to fail is not to do it”. This year, I’ll add to it: “Just have fun”. Sometimes we get into some unhealthy work dynamics that make the process more of a chore than something to simply enjoy. It’s happened to me recently, and I came to the course feeling unmotivated about magic. The open atmosphere, the constructive insight, and the collaborative work approach have given me some much needed energy.
Some really good advice for structuring our show, getting more knowledge about character development, some essential new contacts, and plenty of inspiration.
Learning to be kinder to myself. It’s ok to take a pause and do something else. Making conscious choices not just in my work but in life and inside my head. When your not sure how to do something magically, examine your actions as the solution is most likely somewhere amongst the actions that are already taking place.
