Ja jag tycker att flera bonusar kom från kursen, att skapa bygger på en varm och förståelig känsla. Där vi lär oss att starta processen oavsett inspiration och detta i sin tur föder inspiration. En av det viktigaste bitarna utöver det teoretiska delarna är att man får mycket gjort när man gör något. Låter enkelt men det är en kurs i kursen att få den insikten.
I was expecting more or less the kind of education I received, so I would not call unexpected but there were certain aspects that were somewhat unexpected and sounded interesting and useful like the lecture on 3D printing
During the course we had to work with other fellow magicians with different backgrounds. This way we implicitly learned and practised to work on a specific task with others and to evaluate our act that incorporates each others ideas. I have learned that there is no bad idea, every litle thing can move forward the process of the creation. Beyond these I really appreciate to meet our wonderful Sweedish and Spanish partners. I believe we made long lasting friendships during the course.
The biggest value for me was the ability to be able to work with a diverse group of people and help develop our skills collaboratively through experimentation and feedback.
Nothing particularly surprising that would stand out this year. But there is always something above the objectives. It’s magic.

Kursen var mer ”hands- on” än väntat, vilket hjälpte att förstå teoretisk kunskaperna som lärdes ut på ett bättre sätt då en verkligen fick test och vända sig av det som lärdes ut.
Prop making class plus additional guest speakers were definitely unexpected and I thought really made the course that much more fulfilling and truly enhanced my learning.

Den stora bonusen är såklart att få träffa nya individer som alla har något eget att komma med. Vi glömmer så ofta att arbeta tillsammans som trollkonstnärer och att många dessutom kommer från olika länder och kulturer bidrar till det hela.
Yes! Acting classes were great, you should organise it with every of your magic workshops IMO
The inspiration and creativity that I got into doing these intense study and exercise sessions with others never fails to delight. I’ve taken the 3 day course before so it was not unexpected. But non the less this kind of thing is the pick-me up needed when ones practice and performance start to feel like it stagnate a bit. It’s like oiling the wheels
The format of the course was ideal for networking.
Meeting and spending five days with a group of very different people from different places helped me to improve my confidence and my social skills. Also, I had the opportunity to do a short talk and share some of my tricks and ideas with the other participants.
Beyond the stated objectives, I learned how to work in a very practical fashion, as opposed to my usual theoretical mindset and methods.
Absolutely!! I think Thursday night when were were all just jamming is one of my favorite moments, not just of the workshop, but also in my magic life. Great chats durring meal times. Everyone staying together added so much.
Absolut, både på kursen och i övningarna samt på extraföreläsningarna så fanns det små guldkorn man kunde ta till sig.
Jag vet inte om det var oväntat egentligen, men man kan inte ens sätta ett värde på nya vänner och självförtroende. Dessutom lyfte de frivilliga lektionerna intressanta perspektiv som var bättre än förväntat.
I learned more than I could have possibly expected, and not just about the course material, but about myself.
I have found new friends, and some old ones, that I can draw experience and inspiration from.
Learning to work with others and integrate with a very diverse group of people. Picked up new skills in the extra evening classes and the ability to try everything. Got to see and meet professionals in the field outside of the tutor who took the course thanks to people donating their time to talk to and show us techniques available to us as magic performers.
The BIG take away for me was all the bits and business I picked up from all the other participants in the course. So much valuable material, feedback and tips.
Extrakurser på kvällstid. Det vi gjorde för att hjälpa varandra på kvällarna tack var att vi bodde kvar på skolan jag tycker det är än viktig del av kursen.
Att vår grupp var så öppen mot varandra och det fanns en gemensam driv att utvecklas gjorde att utanför schemalagd arbetstid hölls det sessions där vi jobbade med varandras akter för att ge konstruktiv kritik och feedback. Detta var lika nyttigt som själva kursen men hade aldrig kunnat uppstå ifall kursen inte hade givit oss det gemensamma språk vi hade under dessa sessions.
Att bo på en på en folkhögskola innebär att man får vänner och kommer varandra så mycket närmare speciellt när det gäller något så delikat som artistarbete. Mycket kunskap inhämtas utanför lektionstid eller det finns ingen specifik lektionstid utan all tid blir väsentlig. Stor skillnad när man bor ihop eller om man bara kommer resande för lektioner.

We where working a lot with theater style exercises and i liked that.
