Extra events
There were a few extra events in the evenings.
• Introduction to the Butterfly Deck with Ondřej Pšenička.
• A Talk with Håkan Berg (last minute replacement for a cancelled Skype-lecture)
• “Towards a mutual base of knowledge” session with the female participants.
• Open Stage performances
These extra events were good or bad? Too much or too little? Thoughts?

Very grateful for every event. I missed the Skype lecture, had to explore a bit the beautiful town Sigtuna.
Butterfly deck was a method revelation to me. Inspiring to see someone develop such a concept.
Håkan Bergs talk about doing everything 100% and demonstrating this by turning on the show lights at his talk was valuable in and of itself
Ondrej is really open hearted and giving. Inspiring to see how much work he put in and still is going and evolving.
Hakan Berg I know well from before, but I must say he is handsome
Open stage is a really fun forum and ads a lot to the energy
I believe they were all good. I participated with Ondrej, Håkan and also the open stage. I like using every minute to the fullest, and with these activities we gained even more in the short period of time we spent there. On the other hand, the night off (being non female) was also really really good. Then it was time for session, collaborative work, etc. When there were activities in the evenings, you were almost too exhausted to get that experience. So perhaps just one of the sessions + open stage could be enough? Hard to say.
I know the Butterflies so well that I didn’t really get anything out of the lecture. But that’s of course because I’ve known Ondrej for many years and been using the Butterflies so much.
Håkan’s bit was extremely interesting and fun. There could have been even more events like that! Missing Teller’s talk was disappointing but understandable.
The open stage show was super fun and I give extra points for the host!!!! The five card trick was brilliant.
I enjoyed all of these and got high value from all of them.
Ondrej workshop on the Butterfly deck was fantastic.
Hakan Berg is a true inspiration
Womens Event was sooo inspiring to be around other ladies who are pushing magic further
Open Stage was a nice way to cap things off.
It was great fun with these activities.
Very good. I learned something extra from each of them (didn’t attend the female event). Actually I REALLY liked the last minute Håkan talk maybe the most. It was an interesting discussion about competing but also about creating as a whole. Only thing is, they were so good events that it was difficult to think of them as extra, and I pretty much had to attend them. Maybe there should be worse events next year so we can have more breaks??
The extra events were fine. I liked the open stage very much.
All fantastic!
In this course it wasn’t too many, those kinds of events are very welcome.
I enjoyed the extra events, overall. As there is time after these events for a bit of free time, I think a daily extra event is a plus.
It was great all of it.
These were great and I would love to see more of it. It wouldn’t hurt in my opinion to have 1 or 2 half-organized events happening every night 👍🏼
Intro to the Butterfly Deck was excellent. I immediately put this material into my repertoire and have performed pieces from the session several times with great results. This was fantastic.
The talk with Håkan Berg was also excellent. It was very inspiring, interesting, and also provided me with tangible tools that I have been implementing in my own life since the talk. This was a major highlight of the course for me.
“Towards a Mutual Base of Knowledge” had excellent intentions and it was a valuable experience. However, my preference is for men and women to integrate in magic, especially when both are present at an event.
Open stage performance was excellent. This gave me an opportunity to see magic from other cultures or places of influence. I only wish that more of the students had performed.
Extremely good events all of them.
I like them
They all were good, interesting and different from each other!
Good!
And good they were not mandatory
I loved them! Of course a lecture from Teller would have been a delight, but I’m a big fan of Håkan and I enjoyed his talk very much!
I think each one of these was very good, and added significant value to the course. It was just the right amount, one extra thing that’s optional per evening
det var lagom även om man alltid vill ha mer av allt. det var som jag vill ha det.
Ondrejs lecture was great! I have seen it before, but now with the cards in hand it was much better!
Håkan is a pro! Inspirational stuff!
Open stage was fun!
I thought there was enough extra events, and I felt they gave the week a nice spice.
The extra events were great. It was nice to meet with people from my first course at the open stage. It was also great to see the work of the other participants during the open stage.
The talk with Håkan was also great, it was nice to have an insight into his was of creating acts and his thoughts about his carrier. It was also nice that Tom asked him questions and gave insight about how he works with him.
Ondřej is simply great.
Chould be even more
