Bonus
I have found unexpected bonus value beyond the stated learning objectives.
1: I do not agree at all / 10: I agree completely

Working in groups and be inspired by others was a bonus.
Friendships, a community of other magicians. I held a talk in the magic circle Oslo and they were interested in holding some workshops together to spread this information and get into the spirit of helping each other.
That we can get a lot done when we let go of the fear and just do
Absolutely. I have found tips and techniques, a way of thinking, that can be directly applied both to my role as a parent(!), but also to my corporate every-day life as a manager.
I couldn’t even dream of how much new information and knowledge I would gain during the week. Just spending a week with people who I adore was a HUGE bonus.
Yes, I didn’t fully comprehend the learning objectives until I was in class actually doing them. The bonus value really came from having others as a sounding board to be able to watch, get feedback and quickly apply what was taught. Magic is so solo traditionally, that by having someone to bounce ideas off of resulted in amazing unexpected value.
I was able to apply most of it to the magic I was performing and make it more magical.
Definately. The further conjuring was pitched at the right level to stretch our brains using several techniques, Magic and Theatrical together that we would not have been able to do or execute I believe if this was the first time we took part in Conjuring.
I think albeit slowly, I will develop a betting understanding of how to execute several of these techniques together in my future work.
I suppose this doesn’t count as being outside the stated learning objectives, but it may be worth mentioning. The information in the course could be delivered through personal instruction or a book. However, it was eye-opening performing exercises with and studying the work of other students.
Actually, the value beyond the stated course objectives is the inspiration you leave the course with. This seemed to be universally felt amongst the students.
I reference back to the previous comment.
I feel that this course gave me the ability, confidence, and tangible tools to create new and original magic material with great efficiency. This creation material is something that I’ve never seen effectively taught before, and this skill is of tremendous value in my profession.
Networking opportunities were also of great value and I also gained more confidence in my performance ability.
I have several things I will bring with me that came from the other contendents that was very good.
Besides the skills from the teachers it was very useful to talk to the other participants.
We have all different experiences and mind set and it was great to learn even from them.
(I got very inspired, especially from one of the non-Swedish participants). An extra bonus was all new friends 🙂
The group exercises were a real eye-opener! If something like this is possible in 30 – 40 minutes, what can all be achievable if you have days, weeks, months at your disposal and work in a good team? Plus: the new contacts I made, the people I met, the fun I had. Wow!
Bonus things:
– New level of confidence in creating new material
– New approach to creativity I can use anytime (Timelimits! Going with the simple solution)
Hangin out with fellow magicians is always great! The food and the premises were all very nice aswell!
For me the acting techniques were especially interesting. And the advanced crossing the gaze techiques were really eye opening. Aldough we learned about the basics of this in the first course as well, I really just realized it now how strong this techinqe is and how much potential this has.
