The venue is absolutely perfect. It was such a cute and quaint space and town as a whole. I enjoyed having my own space to return to after the long days, and the food was amazing, with nice accommodations for allergies and dietary restrictions. The space was one of the highlights of the trip, and I love how we all went to the communal spaces to hang out and eat, then would go to our respected classrooms and spaces to do our workshops in. The overall aesthetic and comfort of the venue made it immersive and charming.
Ja jag tycker lokalerna var bra. De kanske inte är så charmiga (men matsalen är fin med gamla detaljer och kapellet men det har jag bara sett på bild). MEN alla lokaler är mycket ändamålsenliga så det är perfekt. Rummet vi framträdde i är ju superbra.
Det var också skönt med eget rum med toalett och dusch. (Denna vecka bor jag två nätter på en annan folkhögskola där rummen är enklare och delat litet badrum så Sigtunas standard är mycket bättre.)
Jag åkte från Stockholm så ganska nära. Jag gav skjuts till flyget och insåg hur nära Arlanda ligger vilket måste vara bra för de utländska deltagarna.
Maten var mycket bra och riklig. Personalen diskret och hjälpsam.
Perfect! All the lessons and meals were close to where I was sleeping and the food was very good. I did not talk with the staff other than saying thank you for the meal but they seemed very nice.
I think everything was fantastic – the venue suited the course perfectly. My room was really small whereas some of my friends had much bigger rooms. This was not a major problem as we didn’t really have that much time to spend at our rooms anyway, and my room was totally ok. The food and the staff were both brilliant, wouldn’t change a thing. There were three false fire alarms, two during a lecture and one on our last day in the morning when we were still sleeping. This made a lot of people quite upset as getting enough sleep was very important throughout the course. Luckily that happened on the last day, though.
Yes. Does the chairs have to always be in a theater seating?
The venue was near perfect. It is beautiful with comfortable classroom facilities, rehearsal studio, dining facilities and staff. The room (mine was two singles) was spartan and the beds were a bit small for me (I am 6’2” – ~189cm). They did not have screens on the windows (I was eaten a bit by something) and Air Conditioning was not controllable.
LOVED the venue! I loved that we had all those extra rooms to break off into. I LOVED the food, it was good and healthy. My room was clean and spacious. The staff was kind and food was always ready on time.
If I would add one thing, and I’m only putting it here because I dont know if there will be a space later for it, I would prep people better for what the room is…meaning there is no soap, shampoo, etc in the rooms…I would add a bit of a packing list, what is and what is not provided. I was using shampoo as my hand washing soap all week, which wasnt a problem for me, but I think a lot of people didnt bring that.
Food and room as really fine. Fika excellent. More toilet paper needed. 🙂
My room was warm and despite not having an en-suite was very suitable for use as we were only in the rooms to sleep. The food was always beautifully presented and very tasty ( Although for some reason I thought I’d be eating way more fish – I blame IKEA). I love the concept of Fika. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
I would have like to see a little bit of Sweden, and will book a few days either side of the course to experience the country next year.
Everyone was unbelievably kind and the room was clean. Cant believe we were in a school. The food tasted as if it were from a restaurant
The venue worked perfectly for the course. I feel that having the hostel rooms in the same place as where the workshop took place was very beneficial. There was no incentive to leave the site and much of the magic happened outside of the offical programme.
The space for doing the exercises was also well suited for the course.
The rooms were basic but perfectly suited for the course. The food was truly excellent and there was plenty of it. The staff were very helpful and kind.

The staff and venue were fantastic. I sent them an email thanking them as well. Next year I’m requesting a double room so I can hold all my props!
The venue was amazing! I loved it. The room, the food, the staff, it was really good! What even made it better was that it was so close to the lake!!!
The food was very good. As a vegan I did not expect to have a lot of options, but the food was all delicious and extremely
filling. The room was the right size with a private bathroom and shower, and the reception staff were very helpful at all hours. The best thing about having our class in Sigtuna was having all the students and classes within the same few hundred feet radius.
I think for this kind of workshop, this venue was great. Because in other magic conventions, is very different and hotel environment fits the best.
The food was delicious and I like Swedish Fikas. Staff was nice and helpful and room was also great.
The room and working rooms were fine. The church worked surprisingly well. The staff seemed a bit rude at sometimes when trying to ask polite questions. It depended a lot on who was working. The food was delicious as last year!
Room good. Food good, sometimes great. Staff did not really interact with me nor the other way around, so no opinion. But also no need to, which is a good sign.

For theatrical exercises it would’ve been better with a venue that suits the atmosphere better. Maybe a black box, or even just a space with black movable walls. So that you can work with entrances and exits, for example. A chapel felt rather cold and unwelcoming to work creatively and theatrically in.
The place was great! Good food, nice outdoors.
The rooms for group B were a little cold.
The church as a study place was okay, it had an echo, there were no separate rooms to practise in, etc.
The staff seemed really nice.
Rooms are okay and to the point: bed, bathroom and a desk. You don’t need much more than that. The food was great overall, the staff friendly and nice. The church is perhaps not the greatest venue, there are very limited areas for break-outs which then makes it a bit messy. Ideally, there would have been surrounding areas where break sessions (the exercises) could be held.
It was just perfect. The food, the premises, workshop areas, equipment, etc. I couldnt wish for more.
The room was very nice and I could book all the extra nights (for me and my family). Last year the food was great – this year it was amazing! Very, very good.
Overall, the staff was very nice. But I felt they were not very customer orientated when it came to closing hours. A friend arrived just minutes after they closed the last fika after Horret’s evening. He asked very nicely for a piece of bred and something to put on. But they refused. It would have taken them 2 – 3 minutes to hand him out some polarbröd.
And there should be a possibility to get something to drink after they close the bar. In general, the bar should be open a bit longer. Especially on Thursday evening.
I love the venue! It’s so sweet. It’s big enough and suitable for working and benefiting from nature and quietude not found in the city.
he church had enough space and Sigtuna high school was perfect. Like Hogwarts.
The venue is just the best. The food and of course fika is so great and there is plenty of it! Getting your own room is great after so much socializing during the day.

Sifting is wonderful as always. The food is wonderful. But this year I gave this a lower score because there were issues with getting into the building on the first night which really shouldn’t have happened and caused some stress to myself and others arriving. But the issue was quickly resolved.
